This is the "Place of the Rhino". Built on a hilltop, the newly refurbished, luxurious Tshukudu Bush Lodge offers sweeping views of the malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park.

Offering only six luxury cottages, attention to detail and personalised service is guaranteed. Each cottage has been uniquely designed and has its own private balcony offering potential sightings of over 80 species of wild animals, including the Big Five, as well as 360 bird species.

Accommodation at Tshukudu BushLodge

Each unit has its own private balcony offering sweeping views of the Park and waterhole.

One double bed, two single beds, open plan lounge with fireplace, sunken bath overlooking the plains, shower over bath, fully stocked mini bar, bird books, magazines, plug points, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and a safety deposit box.

Accommodation; all meals and beverages; Transfers between Bakubung and Tshukudu Lodge; Game drive and 14% VAT.

Game drives

After high tea, guests are taken on a 3 hour game drive. Another game drive is available in the mornings, with the option of an escorted game walk.

All game activities are conducted by experienced field guides. Special interest trails can be arranged for our guests.

Animals

As well as the 'Big Five' you might also find the nocturnal brown hyena, cheetah, hippo, crocodile and even sable.

Conference Facilities

Facilities include a TV and VCR, slide projector, portable 2x2m screen, overhead projector and flip chart.

Climate

In South Africa the average number of sunshine hours is amongst the highest in the world.

In the summer the temperature varies from 10°C (50°F) at night to high 30's°C (high 90's°F) in the heat of the day. Winters are mild with a daytime temperature that is normally above 20°C (68°C). At night it gets considerably colder with the temperature dropping below -2°C (27°C). Temperatures tend to drop dramatically just after sunset.
