masterfully blends into its surroundings, encompassing a magnificent main area built around an ancient termite mound.Jaci's Safari Lodge has a colorful decorating style and attention to detail. You are sure to have a memorable and unique Safari experience.
Featuring only eight large rooms and the exclusive 2 bed-roomed "Nare Suite" - all built with shaggy thatched roofs, canvas walls and large tented windows - to create a true safari atmosphere, inviting you to enjoy your bush surroundings. Early risers may catch a glimpse of Bush Babies returning to roost in the trees around the rooms or enjoy the morning Francolin calls.
The generous Main Lodge consists of a spacious lounge and open plan dining area with uninterrupted views of the bush. Enjoy fire cooked meals in our enclosed boma, or under the stars at a bush barbeque. Lounge at the pool or enjoy bird watching from the hammock on the banks of the Groot Marico River. Indulge yourself in your surroundings.
Accommodation at Jaci's Safari Lodge
Jaci's has eight thatched rooms, each with a charming built in, en-suite hand-made rock bath with an outdoor "safari" shower, and fans to keep a gentle breeze flowing. Six of the rooms have twin beds and the seventh and eighth room have king size four-poster beds.
Each room has a hand made ceramic fireplace surrounded by a stone chimney. The deck in front of the room allows you to sit and enjoy the surrounding sights and smells of the bushveld - whilst watching the animals walking past to drink.
The walls in the bathroom are built using natural rock and the bath was constructed on site. In order to create a "tented feel" the rooms have canvas sides.
Children sharing with their parents are comfortably accommodated on camping stretchers in the rooms. Maximum 3 children per room.
Bush Retreat
The exciting “bush retreat”- so named because of the resident Buffalo Bull who frequents the waterhole in front of the Suite (along with the numerous other animal visitors) - accommodates a maximum of 4 guests.
The Nare Suite
The Nare Suite has a self contained kitchen (for our chefs to prepare meals for you in the luxury of your own retreat), lounge and outdoor dining area.

Activities
Early morning and evening game drives and/or walks are the highlight of your stay.
Lounge around the pool, paddle your own canoe, lie in a hammock, sip an ice cold drink and watch the birds, butterflies and animals.
Meals come from an ultra modern kitchen, spotless, in full view of the dining area. Dinners are eaten outside around the open fire in the boma under the stars, or out in the bush on a barbeque, surrounded by nature.
Upstairs there is a quiet reading space. There is also a well-stocked ethnic craft shop. Jaci's Safari Lodge now has a fully equipped gym situated between Jaci's Safari Lodge and Jaci's Tree lodge as well as a kiddies play area, overlooking the river.
What to bring
Comfortable walking shoes, sun hat, sunglasses, sun block, cameras and binoculars, light, neutral coloured clothing, swimming costume. Warm jackets are essential in winter (May - October).
Arrival and Departures
Please be advised that all gates into the Reserve close at 20:00 except Molatedi Gate which closes at 16:30 and all guests driving into the Reserve must please get updated route maps directly from the Lodge.

Children
Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci's.
Children aged 12 and under are comfortably accommodated in their parents' room on their own stretcher.
Children aged 7 years and under are taken on their own Game Drive during the day by one of the rangers - this is a kiddie's drive and is geared totally to the children's interests and age level. The Game Reserve does not allow children under the age of 12 to do WALKS inside the Reserve.
Baby sitters are provided to look after the "littlies" while the parents are on the Game Activities.
Children aged 8 to 12 on the Game Drives with their parents are also given an earlier dinner in the dining room, when they return from the Game Drive. Jaci's found this worked very well as children are hungry and tired by the time they serve the main dinner.
Weddings
Jaci's provides outstanding venues, complete with a team of people to ensure your special day is hassle free. At Jaci'sLodges they assist you in planning the perfect day. They have catered for several weddings from 80 to 5 guests, each created around the individual needs of the wedding couple.
Their wedding package includes our usual daily activities and meals. The extra details (flowers, pastor, photographer, etc.) are privately arranged and we can assist once everything is at the lodge.
Jaci'sLodges can accommodate 36 adults (between Safari and Tree Lodge) which allows two different venues for the ceremony and for the reception.
