Gomo Gomo Game Lodge is a private and intimate camp situated on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River in the prestigious Timbavati Nature Reserve, which was home to the original pride of the famous white lions. Timbavati forms part of the greater Kruger National Park with a common unfenced border. Their traversing area is approximately 12 000 hectares of the reserve offering guests varied landscapes and the possibility of coming face-to-face with the “Big 5” (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) and numerous other mammals and bird species in their natural habitat.

Early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives are conducted in open 4 X 4 Land Rovers with experienced field guides and trackers who will ensure an exciting and informative safari. An optional bushwalk, with your field guide, will open up the world of some of South Africa’s intricate eco-systems with its varied fauna and flora.

A maximum of 16 guests are accommodated in fully furnished, brick and thatch chalets and East African Style Safari Tents, all with en-suite facilities. Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck in an open thatched-roofed lapa, overlooking the river while dinner is served in traditional African style around a fire in one of the two bomas.

During the day guests can relax on the deck in the shade of a century old Leadwood tree or cool down in the plunge pool. At night the camp is lit by kerosene flares and storm lanterns, which contributes to the true bush safari ambience and experience.

Transfers available to and from Gomo Gomo.
Optional excursion available in the Timbavati area.
