Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek [D]

Olive Grove Guest House - Namibian Andersson's Africa SafariUpon arrival at Windhoek International airport you will be transferred by road to Olive Grove Guest house for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Waterberg Plateau [B, L, D]

After Breakfast you will meet your safari guide in the foyer of the Olive Grove Guest House at 08h00. Embark on a beautiful journey through Namibia’s wide-open landscape to the Waterberg, stopping en route for a guided tour of the Olive Farm followed by lunch in these tranquil surrounds. Continue towards the Waterberg Plateau Park – renowned for its flamboyant red sandstone formations and lush green vegetation. Home to a large variety of game, plant types and over 240 bird species, the Waterberg is also steeped in history – it was here that the Herero people lost their greatest battle to the German colonial forces at the beginning of the century. Our exclusive campsite provides a shady refuge situated under a canopy of trees. Enjoy a late afternoon walk and sundowners on top of the Waterberg.

Day 3: Omboroko Mountains [B, L, D]

Africat Foundation - Namibian Andersson's Africa SafariAfter an early morning walk on the Waterberg Plateau followed by a wholesome breakfast, continue to Okonjima – nestled in the unspoiled beauty of the Omboroko Mountains. This family-run lodge is known for its peaceful and friendly atmosphere, and comprises ten individually furnished rooms with en suite shower and toilet. Okonjima is home to the Africat Foundation – a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of Namibia’s threatened cats. With over 300 bird species – including most of the Namibian endemics – birdwatching from the Lodge’s hide is extraordinary. You may also enjoy various walking trails including a guided San (Bushman) trail, and excellent home cooked meals are served indoors or outside around a fire.

Day 4: Etosha [B, L, D]

Etosha National Park - Gate Entrance - Namibian Andersson's Africa SafariContinue along country roads to our exclusive campsite at the private Fischer’s Pan Game Reserve – bordering the eastern perimeter of the world-renowned Etosha National Park, a few kilometres away from the Von Lindequist Gate. Etosha Pan - Namibian Andersson's Africa SafariSpend the day game-viewing in Etosha National Park – 22 270 square kilometres of countryside ranging from dense bush to barren plains. Experience spectacular game-viewing along the southern edge of the Pan where numerous waterholes attract an abundance of mammal and bird species.

Cape Cross is home to more than 80 000 Cape Fur Seals, and extensive lichen fields feature along the coast. Hedged by the desert and the wild Atlantic, Swakopmund is Namibia’s premier seaside resort, resembling a Bavarian village with its numerous 19th century buildings. Swakopmund offers old world charm, a relaxed atmosphere and a host of activities. Your accommodation is at the four-star Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre, and dinner will be enjoyed at a local seafood restaurant.
